Inspired largely by two celebrated Early Chola bronzes of Parvati, circa 1000 A.D., preserved in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Bhedwar Collection, Bombay, this idol is conceived as a close homage to that timeless artistic tradition and is crafted in nearly the same size as the originals. Black-and-white reference images of both bronzes are also attached on this product page.

Inspired by Chola bronzes, Parvati sits in graceful ease. Antique tones lend museum warmth to living rooms and galleries.
