Inspired by two celebrated Early Chola bronzes of Parvati, circa 1000 A.D., preserved in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Bhedwar Collection, Bombay, this idol is conceived as a close homage to that timeless artistic tradition and is crafted in nearly the same size as the originals. Black-and-white reference images of both bronzes are also attached on the product page.
